Concept

During a workshop with La Casse (a typographic studio from Nantes, France) we were asked to create a new typography based on the Antique Olive Nord of Roger Excoffon. In groups of three, we took pictures of the letters put on a luminous table and did movements with the camera. The light created new letters. Then, each letter was built on these photographs which were screened and vectorised. It created a shaded typography with many dots.

Workshop d'une semaine avec le studio La Casse durant lequel il nous a été demandé, par groupe de 3, de créer une nouvelle police de caractères à partir de l'Antique Olive de Roger Excoffon. Cette nouvelle police à été construite à partir de photographies de chaque caractères (en mouvement, sur une table lumineuse)
qui ont ensuite été traitées en bitmap et retravaillées.
